Beck began his music career in the early 2000s as a member of the hip-hop and R&B group Funk Beats, performing under the name Becky. In 2008, he released his debut solo album, “B21”.

He earned a degree in banking economics and ran for the Mongolian parliament as an independent candidate in 2016, but was not elected.

“Light”, the song with which Beck won Mongolia's national selection, was disqualified because it had already been released in 2018. Under Eurovision Asia rules, competing songs must not have been released or publicly performed before 1 July 2026. Since Mongolia had selected its artist in advance and held a vote only to choose the song, the song was replaced by the one which had finished second in the selection.
